  • Snacks are an important part of your child diet . However limit them to 2 to 3 times a day. Think of a snack as way of helping your child grow and get all the nutrients he needs.
  • It is important to plan healthy snacks for your growing baby. Try yogurt, slices of ripe banana and chopped avocado. Make sure the food is cut into smaller pieces so that your child does not  choke (smaller than the size of a dime).
  • Do not give your babies sweet treats or desserts. Fruits are sweets and a part of a balanced diet.
  • If your baby has a play date, offer the other children healthy snacks. Ask their parents for any allergies they may have.
