Signs that baby bottle needs to be changed

You have to change your baby’s bottle when you see the following :

• cracks, chips or breaks : This can cause injury in your child especially if you use a glass bottle
• scratched and worn out plastic  bottles : Stubborn germs can hide in the scratches even if you’ve throughly cleaned the bottle
• if you use bottles with liners, you need to throw  away the liners after each use

Signs that nipples need to be replaced

Toss your nipples when you see the following :

• discoloration  or cloudiness could be a sign that the nipple is deteriorating
• if the formula pours out like a stream instead of dripping steadily from the nipple. This could mean the nipple hole is too big  and as a result nipple needs  to be replaced
• cracks, tears and breaks : Pieces of the nipple could break off and be a choking hazard
• stickiness and swelling could be a sign that the nipple is deteriorating
• thinning which is an early sign that the nipple is weakening
• when your child has outgrown them and needs a different size to feed
