Finding new movies for your children to watch can be a bit tricky sometimes. Kids often have a habit of picking the same few movies over, and over again. And while this may not seem like a big deal, it can get very boring for parents to sit with their kids watching the same five movies. Produced in 1988 by Studio Gibli, considered the Japanese animation version of Disney, My Neighbor Totoro is guaranteed to be a hit with your children.

The story follows the past time of a group of friends, and one friend in particular that is trying to get on the other kids’ good side. So, he does so by helping them continue to play baseball when they lose the ball they’re playing with to the jowls of a monstrous neighbor dog. There’s so much more to The Sandlot, but it’s a movie that your kids would love to see.
 

Spirited Away

 
Studio Gibli has a ton of classic movies that your kids may have never watched, and of them all Spirited Away is one of the best. The story is about a young girl whose family gets lost into a fantasy world, after they pass through a roadway tunnel. Shortly after, the girl’s parents fall victim to the new world, and become transformed into something different. The girl, Chihiro, must then take care of herself as she comes to meet strange spirits, mythical creatures, and an evil sorceress pent on keeping them from returning to their home world.
