Infertility is the inability to conceive after regular, unprotected sex for more than a year  (or six months if you’re older than 35). Infertility is an issue  women are facing more frequently. As women age, there is  a rise in the risk of infertility because their eggs become less viable  and the challenge of conceiving also increases .

Even though most women associate infertility problems to women, men can also be infertile . There are many reasons why women are unable to get pregnant. These  include

  • hormonal issues
  • cervical issues
  • your man’s sperm production
  • abnormal sperm function
  • blockages that causes health problems
  • poor diet
  • stress

However you have to know that lifestyle can also have an impact on fertility.  If you are planning on getting pregnant, there are certain lifestyle choices you have to implement to increase your chances of getting pregnant. These include :

  • eat healthy , nutritious foods
  • remove sugars and starches from your diet
  • add healthy fats such as avocado to your diet
  • reduces stress as much as  you can
  • add food high in fiber such as whole grains , fruits and vegetables to your diet
  • stay active
  • include leafy greens such asparagus, spinach and kale
  • add wild caught salmon to your diet
  • maintain a healthy weight
  • watch what you drink. Avoid too much caffeine and alcohol
  • stop smoking
  • avoid pesticides and other harmful toxins
