You may have heard about forgetfulness during pregnancy . It is common for pregnant women  to be forgetful and have  difficulty concentrating.

Research was done  on the effect of pregnancy on memory but  the results were  inconsistent. However hormonal increase during pregnancy may have an effect on the mind. Pregnancy can also  be stressful and tiring and this too can have an effect on your memory.

 

What can you do about pregnancy brain

 

These tips can help you deal with forgetfulness while pregnant

  • Prioritize what needs to be done  and concentrate on them
  • get help with your to do list from families and friends
  • get more sleep to help you stay relax and less stressed
  • keep a detailed calendar for events and appointments
  • keep important items such as keys at designated areas in the house so that they are easy to find
  • eat good food and stay well hydrated. Good food nourishes the brain
